Default NEED HELP! Tranny Fluid Fill Bolt Seized, where is VSS hole? EF 2WD Wagon

Hey, topic title says it all.

Fill bolt is seized on my tranny and just did a CV Axle job. I was told that you can fill it with through the VSS, or vehicle speed sensor, hole on the tranny, but I've searched forums and no one seems to have a current pic of some schematics.

This is a time sensitive repair so any quick help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks so much!

Follow the speedometer cable to the transmission. Where the cable goes in is what they are talking about. On 92 and up I believe that this is an electrical sensor mounted there instead. Filling it there you could actually over fill it though so be careful.

Put a 17mm box end wrench on the fill bolt. Hit the end with a heavy rubber mallet. Fill normally.

If you can't get the fill bolt out with a 17mm and hammer then the VSS should be at the top of the tranny by the firewall, at least my b16's vss location. From there, you push up the boot, take out the pin holding the cable, remove cable, remove 10-12mm bolt, and speed sensor can be pulled up and you can fill in there, only problem is, don't overfill or underfill. Might not have one, or might not even be able to get it in that area nicely.

Using an impact on a seized fill or drain bolt is not a good idea. Nothing complicates the problem more than shearing the head off and leaving the bolt in place.

JUST like this. Then hit the bottom, coming from the left, to turn the bolt Counter-clockwise.
