i am looking for this same clip for my brackets on 89 honda civic

autozone, advanced auto, and even honda claims they are discontinued and they want to try to sell me a new bracket with different clips, (as i have the new clips and they dont fit.

Are you talking about the clips that come with every set of new brake pads?

That's actually what I was thinking but it's been a while since I've changed my brakes.

Since when was asking a question "talking shitty" to someone?

Back on topic, using this as an example:

Is there any reason that clips like these wouldn't work for what you are trying to do? (PS I'm not talking shitty)

I would recommend you to go to a local yard and get a set from a honda civic there. Because I need one for my rear disc brake swap and found the same issue and result

no u 24ten the other guy he was smart ***, the brackets they have now forsale are different than the ones that come originaly on it,

the picture you posted shows the new style of brake pads and clips, the old bracket that comes with car takes different clips and the pads are different.

what ever honda can do to sell you another part they will do, instead of buying the new brackets from autozone for around 40 dollars for both, i got the same brackets off a 95 civic at the junk yard, and then had to buy new pads as my old ones will not fit on new style brackets

I do all the work on my car. So when I do a brake service and wind up throwing these clips away because new ones came with new pads, THATS how I know. Stop buying cheap brake pads.

Btw, my original post wasn't meant to be sarcastic. It was an actual question. I wasnt sure if there were some other clips that I wasnt thinking of.
