New CC Stage 5, chunk missing
You would run this clutch? Just got it in the mail, unsure if I should ask for different clutch or not. Sorry if wrong forum, but it is a clutch for boost.
Both of these chunks missing are on the same pad.

Probably not gonna make a difference. If you're worried about it contact them. I pulled a stage 4 with a 6 puck disc out of my car a couple of months ago. It was missing way more chunks than that from being used and I put it back in. Still holding 400+/-hp fine.
I agree with you there. When I pulled out my used one it had a couple pieces missing, but not this big. Its NEW so thats why I'm not too happy about it. Man, over 50% of the **** I get from ebay is damaged. I'm getting my s363 in about 30 minutes, I wonder how well they packed it...
would anyone out here try to get another disc from the seller?

The missing pieces won't really matter.
did you buy it from a licensed competition reseller? if so call competition directly and tell them, if they feel it's too damaged they should send you a new disc.

I couldnt agree more fellas, but since I paid $350 for a new one, I want a NEW one, not a damaged one. I may be picky, but its not my fault they cant protect their products better.

Yea most metallic clutches chunk pretty badly under high torque, especially if you're slipping/launching the clutch on big sticky tires.

**** one day UPS cracked a b20 block clean in half, even snapped the snout of the crank off at the 2nd main and it was bolted to the block with the main caps. the guy said it was too heavy (still under the 75lb limit or whatever) and kicked it off his truck, it hit my driveway with a nice metallic ping. What really sucked was it was a brand new block and crank from Honda that I got in a trade with a parts guy there. one new TiAL F38 for a new block and crank. I gave the block to a fabricator buddy in exchange for a turbo manifold and used the claim money to buy a sleeved ls block and 84.5 cp pistons from a buddy. I still have the crank, I'm gonna turn it into a lamp eventually to match the tables I'm building out of an ls block that threw a rod and an SR20DET block that broke a rod and crank in half, breaking the oil passages in the block... so ups breaking my **** wasn't all bad lol... plus I get 2 badass coffee tables and a lamp out of the deal lol
you better believe ups forked out 750, thankfully it was insured. the rep who came out also gave me a booklet of the "hand process/sort through facility" stickers which means the package never sees an automated sorting line, it's hand carried on/off the truck, through the facility, on and off the plane, and hand scanned.
I've never had a package damaged since.
I had a log manifold come in the mail once and the maillady literally chunked it at my door cause she thought no one was home. People who handle packages hate their jobs and dont give 2 ***** about you or what you paid for something.

Nope
one guy who worked at a post office was keeping packages people dropped off and selling them on craigslist. told people they got lost, most didn't have insurance, a few did.
finally someone who mailed a lot of packages got suspicious and video taped the guy loading boxes into his trunk.
they really don't give 2 *****.
