Default Gsr Swap

I know its been done tons of times but i can't find any info on a gsr swap into a Ej.. tons of threads on eg, ek etc. But i need to find a thread about a gsr swap into a EJ. I'm a little worried cause I live in Oregon and we have to go through emissions and this is my dd. Also I have a obd2b car (99 Honda Civic EX) witch i heard was a pain in the *** and I know I can get a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness but I'm worried it'll **** something up or make it harder and I wont pass emissions.

Preposterous.

BTW. If you found writeups on "EKs" it's the same thing.

Eg and ek are just general terms for body style. My brother has an ej, his is a 95 "eg" I have an ej7, which is a 98 "ek". You have an ek bro. Technically, neither of us has an ek. A quick search would have told you that. Use the search function and do some research. It'll help you out.

How about you check with whatever place it is that handles emissions before you even attempt this swap? Makes no sense to task us.

"Mr. Emissions guy, I'm going to swap a different engine into my car. Here's what I plan to do. Would any of this cause me to fail?" What's so difficult about that? You're assuming they lack knowledge on a subject simply because you lack that same knowledge.

if you plan on going legit its not going to be hard if you find a gsr engine thats in good shape! and use a genuine honda catalyst. because aftermarket suck bad!

for the emissions your going to need a p72ecu thats out a obd2b gsr 99-01
and your going to have to extend the vtec wires a bit.
you can easily look up how to run extra wires from ecu plugs for the aditional knock sensor and secondary runners.

if you dnt want to go threw the headake with smog just wait till your smog is up then swap the motor and keep your single swap so when you smog but im sure theres someone that can always hook it up with a cheater smog if you ever need that route but a legit ref swap is way to go! good luck
