Default Eg hatch HID/headlight problem

Hey everyone,

A few days ago I was in a rush to work, come to figure out my battery died later. So I get it charged, and then when I put it back in my car, once I did that my headlights flickered and stopped working. Accidentally left my headlight's on. So then I ordered a new hid kit, put it all in, and now theyre still not working, tested the products in a friends car and theyre good. The last owner spliced the main headlight wires to the HID pigtails btw. So I tried, ordering a new kit, and re-splicing the wires but have come to no prevail. How should go about to fix this problem ? Any input helps !

Thank you,
Eghachiback

The fix is to remove the crappy HID kit totally and return the headlight wiring to stock. If the headlights work then it's an HID issue and not a Honda issue and you need to talk to the kit manufacturers.

Agreed.

ALL aftermarket HID kits are garbage, period. Those kits are an expensive way to make your lights blue and annoying.

This might seem obvious but have you checked your fuses?

Xenon arc light source in a housing with reflectors engineered for a halogen filament as well as the filament's position and orientation just doesn't work out that great.

I don't understand why people still don't get it. Do a quality retrofit, or leave it stock. Theretrofitsource.com and Hidplanet.com, start saving and researching, do a retrofit, or leave the car stock. They even have plug-n-play retrofit kits, so easy a caveman could do it.

Let's not rehash it. They suck. People buy them anyway. We throw our hands up in disbelief. You're beating your heads against the wall.
