wierd valve lash clearance issue, cam binding
B18a1 head with b18b1 cams, super-tech valves .5mm oversized, OEM springs and retainers. I set the intake valve lash to .007 and on cylinder 2 & 3 when the cam lobe compresses the valve it binds up and won't turn past it. So bad that the timing belt actually skipped a few teeth. Its almost like the valve spring reaches full compression and won't go down anymore. I had to set the valve lash to .015 on 2 & 3 for it not to bind and turn over smoothly. I even swapped in a b18a1 intake cam and it still does the same thing. Then I swapped in rockers arms from a b18b1 head and it still binds when the valve lash is set to .007
I'm totally stumped. Maybe the super-tech valves are too long?
I bought this head used and just put it on a short block I just built. I want to figure out this issue before I start it up for the first time. Any help is appreciated.

Just to let everybody know I found out what the problem was. I ended up pulling the head and removing all the valve train. It turns out the 2 intake valves that were binding had exhaust valve springs installed. The exhaust springs are longer then the intake ones.
I bought this head used. Whoever put it back together clearly had no idea what they were doing. 3 of the exhaust valves were installed upside down too lol.
