Default 97 Civic HX - overheating

Alright, so I'm new to the forums everyone.
I have a 1997 Honda Civic Hx 4 cylinder 1.6L non v-tech with a overheating issue. A couple days ago my radiator cracked and started smoking from under the hood. I replaced the radiator. Still overheating and fan won't kick on. I then replace the relays. Why change just one? I replaced them all. Fan worked, then stopped a mile down the road and started overheating again. I used the paperclip method to bypass the relays and the fan kicked on constantly when the cars running So the fan and motor are good as well. Changed the fan switch. Changed the coolant temperature sensor. Fan kicks on now but only at like 3/4 of the way up on the guage.

Any ideas Everyone?

Bleed the cooling system, and then go from there.

And never let the the temp gauge needle rise above the halfway mark.

I put the front end of the car at an angle on wheel ramps and took the radiator cap off letting it idle for about a half hour to bleed air out of the System.

Were the reservoir and radiator topped off with coolant? Did the radiator fan turn on twice during the procedure?
