Ok so trying to figure out why this is happening.
When I go above 63-6500rpms my tach shoots to 0, then jumps back up, then back to zero and is bouncing all over the place.
The thing that is driving me crazy is this only happens with my JDM ECU. If I plug in my USDM ECU, it has no problems. Revs all the way up 9k smooth and no jumping tach.
It is a JDM-R motor, and I ran the USDM to pass inspection and all that and now run the JDM ECU since thats what it was made for
There are no other issues with the car/ecu/signals/vtec nothing. If you werent looking at the tach you would never know anything was up.

but why is it doing it with one computer and not the other?
ive changed everything around in dizzy. new coil, new cap, diff ICM , checked continuity...nothin

from what I know it has something to do with the crank angle sensors inside the distributor . maybe that's why jdm gives u issues cause that ecu belongs to a motor that originally doesn't have an external crank sensor
You haven't changed the case (includes sensors). I replaced all internal items in my 98's distributor and still had a jumpy tach above 7k. I'm hoping replacing the case fixes things for good.

Yours is still jumping? And by case do you mean the whole dizzy that houses the internals? I would just buy a whole new dizzy in that case.

I replaced everything (internal) but the case/sensors. The tach still jumps above ~7k. You can no longer buy a complete distributor so you have to piece together the unit.

Has a 90 day warranty as well. I would only need (1) day to see if it working or not. lol. And this would be a new everything. For $100, it might be worth grabbing and potentially fixing my problem.
If it works I would keep it as a spare. It is a great way to cheaply test the issue. I wonder how they would take the heat on track but that's my way of thinking. Our distributors run off voodoo magic anyway.

Just an Update:
I have been running the Dizzy shown in listing and have had no problems. Tach is operating properly and no problems.
Worth the $90-100
