Neither. Here's the best place to start reading up on suspension:

If you don't feel like reading it, here's cliff's notes on it:
Koni Yellow/Ground Control or Progress CS-II. Trust me.

The nice thing is since the price tag is so low, you will have enough money left over to repair the underside of your car after you scrape on speed bumps.

The EASIEST answer I can provide is:
Don't wanna go that low? Want to do this inexpensively (about $800 max)
-GC/Koni
-Progress seems to be well liked
-Tein Street Advance/Street basis. Not super street. Not basic.
Want to go low? Budget up to $900?
-Buddy Club N+.
-thats it. If you're buying new.
Want to go low? Want to only spend $600? Don't care about quality?
-Function/Form
Beyond that gets more complex and you'll need to be very specific about a lot of things.
This should answer about 99.9999% of "what coilovers I'm finna uze?" questions in the civic/integra forum.

Again, it's important to note that KoniGC isn't a good choice for people looking to lower their cars more than about 2.5'' at the absolute max.

HSD 's are by far some of the best "full bodied" coilovers you can buy for the money. I agree, they are a great ride for the street and awesome on the track. Why people insist on making a coilover kit with one brand strut and another brand sleeve is crazy . A bunch of Sheeple that can't open there eyes to a better made option. And HSD's are NOT made in Taiwan or China, big plus IMO !! Half the "brands" out there are knockoff Chinese garbage... Waste of money. I did my research....so should you.
Who said HSD was bullshit? Touchy. The Koni Ground Control just happens to be the most widely used MATCHED combo that people tend to use and recommend. But they are far from being a lesser option. Sorry there's not a lot of love for HSDs. On top of that you don't even know what the budget he's working with. What was recommended falls in line with what he was thinking about running price wise.
I never argued a case for HSD. I AGREED that they are great. I also provided informative information about the product. I paid $1000 new for mine. They had another version I think for $800. Lol... Amazing how how being passionate about builds can be viewed as touchy. ... Nice... Lol
