B18c rattle sound! WTfork!!!
Ok so motor is a JDM b18c type r an I had this odd sound in the head so I did a valve adjustment and now the valves are quit but I have this rattle sound that is loud on cold starts an as the motor warms up it gets a little less but not gone. The sound is at idle and when you rev the motor. I thought it could be the LMA ( lost motion assembly) but I pulled the cover an pushed on all them an they seem fine none got stuck down. I did this test with the cams in just pushed on the middle lifter.
The sound actually sounds more in the can gears or near the timing belt. It isnt a tick its like metal ratteling sound.
If anyone can help a brother out I'd appreciate it.

Is that the only bearing near the timing belt? I used a stethoscope to listen to every inch of the motor an couldn't hear anything. Never got low enough for the tensioner though.
several bearings ... oil pump, water pump, balance shaft, if noise is on top could be alternator bearing, ac comp bearing if you got one, ps pump bearing if you got one, i had a tensioner bearing fail before and the noise was tough to track down but the more i listened it came clear it was somewhat low
i had overtorqued my tensioner adjusting bolt which i think made it fail prematurely...the other bearings are more or less less likely to go bad
