Drag Radial/ Slicks problem
I finally finished my 2.0 ls vtec 98 coupe couple days ago. Put down 493whp. I have a big dilemma.. I have a 98 coupe with a Wilwood BBK 12.19 rotor. So i have run my Volk re30 16" to clear my brakes. What Drag radials are the best for 16" rims? Its a GSR tranny with ITR diff and ls 5th. Or do u guys know a 15" rim that clear the 12.19 wilwood bbk? Or even slicks. If anyone has dealt with these brakes let me see what u guys are running for slicks/ radials
I have searched and found nothing my only solution is to replace my bbk with like ITR brakes or something but really love how my wilwood brake and look. If anyone has experience with this kit lmk plz
i think it goes without explanation why id like to know when you figure it out.
This isn't directly related to your issue but may be worth checking into. I just ordered 2 13x9's for my EG hatch from Bassett Wheels. They are steel wheels but at $71 a peice I have no complaints. Clear my brakes and suspension with 24.5x9.5 tires with no spacers. And the guy I spoke with when I called Bassett was very knowledgable. May want to give them a call with your brake measurements and see if they will clear their 15's.
I used to have s2000 calipers with redrilled rsx 11.75" rotors. They barely cleared a 15" wheel. I can't see anyway possible you'd fit a 15 with that large of a brake.

found these but they're pretty tall and wide. might give you clearance issues

The M&H bias ply D.O.T.'s are close.
Everyone knows the faster the car, the smaller the brakes, haha. Sell them and get some wheels/slicks!
I'd have to agree with tippy. best bet would be to get smaller brakes so you could run a 15'' rim then you'll be able to get some real slicks. makes a big difference
