Put a deposit down on this car. Asked if title was clean. He said yes.

Revealed a few days later that he was in an accident with a deer a while ago. Title is NOT clean and car has been wrecked. Airbags are also removed....wasn't told about that until after the deposit either. Scams. I just want my money back, nothing more.

 

Read a full ad before you commit to buying it. It says in the ad it had been repainted on the passenger side and front end by the local Honda dealership. Was hardly any damage. The front bumper was completely unharmed in the accident that's how minor it was. You can ask anyone that sells cars, a clean title means it's not salvaged. Meaning not been in an accident declaring it a total loss or have been stolen and needed a recovered title.. As far as the airbags, again read the ad. It clearly says fuse box relocated where airbag was. Look at the pictures. There clearly is no airbag in steering wheel. You put a deposit on it to hold if for a few weeks and agreed to buying it after the weather cleared up and you would come down and pick it up. You said you were familiar with Hondas and built them before. I assumed you had enough knowledge to know what the usual sacrifices are made to a Honda chassis when doing tucked and shaved bays and cars that were set up for drag racing at one point in time. Apparently I assumed wrong. And do some research about what is considered a clean title. I went out of my way to redo a few little things on the car I wasn't happy with and felt you wouldn't be happy with either. Also had a new windshield installed because it has a chip in it. I was 100% honest with you since day one when you low balled me. I told you straight up I'm very firm on the price as it has sentimental value to me. And onto of that I really don't need to sell it. It can sit in my garage for another 5 years and collect dust before I take less money then what I'm happy with out of it. I took a day off work without pay today to make sure it was 100% ready to go for you to take it this weekend with all the extra parts it comes with. Your deposit covers the money I lost out on and the hassle. I was actually considering sending you your money back tomorrow after thinking about it today because so I don't have to deal with the headache and a Paypal dispute from you. But since you want to post this crap and try to put me on blast for it on my forsale thread the chance of me send your money back is slim to none. I continuing to be a civil and nice about the situation as I have ever since you decided you don't want it anymore. And I will continue to be civil about it. Again, Sorry for how this deal went down. Next time ask for a VIN to run a history report for insurance claims and accident history on it if your unsure of something. Next time I will make sure the person I'm selling it to knows what to expect with a highly modified Honda.
