Soooo, I am fabricating an engine mount (cause mine was ripped out from too much vtec). Here is my first mock up. What do you think of the design? Please tell me how I can improve on this. And any suggestions to get it at the correct height so the engine sits properly?

I dont know much about fab work, but it looks good!

 

Tacked in place, going to take it off, weld the rear T, drill the hole, then weld it in. I am also going to add gussets on the front and back and put a plate on top.

 

 

you need to give it bracing on the side of the frame. i cant tell from the picture but it looks like you have two flats of steel running straight across to the top of the frame. you need a contact point on the bottom, both sides of the mount.

 

yep, you need support from the bottom. It will drop off/break the weld if you hit the hole on the road.
