You can get a 4.7FD to fit in your Y21, problem is you need to use a GSR/Si Coupe/ITR/or CTR FD ring gear which is actually bigger in diameter. So that means, you'd lose out on reusing your queeef LSD. Y21 & S21 tranny's both have a smaller diameter sized FD ring gear. I know, Honda sucks like that with their unorthodox ways.

ITR/CTR
Si coupe (S4C)
94+ GSR
94+ LS
of course the Si coupe and ITR/CTR trannies have the same gearing. You're best off with an ITR/CTR trans out of all those choices though.

I wasnt aware the S4C had the same size ring gear as a 94+ GSR. I always thought it was the bolt pattern that was different, which is why you couldnt use a ITR LSD in a Y21 with the Y21 ring gear. The 99-00 Si has the same diff part number as the Y21, which is different than the S80 (GSR)

Besides the lsd what is the difference Between the 99-00 si and the ITR/CTR?

the s4c has the LS bolt pattern and offset as the LS .. it is not compatible with GSR and Type R ring gears.

So the s4c is 99-00 Si?
Will the jdm 4.785 fit the 99-00 si?

Y21 tranny what does that go to?
Quaife makes a final drive that fits the diff you are using. Why don't you give quaife a call?

Y21 is the Del Sol VTEC tranny.
The JDM FD will fit in a Y21/S4C if you install the GSR/ITR diff (from who ever you like).
Also, use ITR bearings if you use the ITR/GSR diff.

So I can install the 4.785 final drive in my Y21 with an ITR diff and bearings?
Is that all I need?

Other than that, you just need the JDM final drive kit which includes 1st gear main, countershaft, needle bearings and holder, etc.
