H22 arp head studs nuts are stuck
Ok hello honda tech. I got an h22 cb7 and was trying to install arp head studs on them using crappy autozone torque wrench. While I was torquing the head studs to the final torque. About 4 of them spun freely so I then loosening all of them and took a look at the 4 studs that spun freely. The arp nuts are about past the last threads and was trying to get it out. The nuts were spinning freely but did not want to catch onto the threads and so it just sat there spinning and not catching the threads. It also feel like as I was trying to loosen it it seems like it's about to come out and then the nuts started to feel tighten again and loose again. Need help ASAP. Car been sitting for too long and yes I'm new to this. So help me out
Use something like a heat gun or torch to heat them up after soaking in penetrating oil for a bit. Use a breaker bar and not a ratchet. If all you have is a ratchet use the jack handle tubing as a extender for better leverage.

Some people go by the Honda talk that they stock bolts should be used once and then tossed, where the ARP are re-useable.
Also, the ARP can hold higher clamping pressures, so for boosted applications where people have head lift, they keep the head from lifting, or head gaskets from leaking.

Hows does this work. I have 4 arp head studs that the arp nut are stuck at the bottom. And im pretty sure they are stripped. I tried using the 2 nuts and tightening them at the other other end. The side that does not have the hex side on and i broked it loose. And its was exhausting lol. Broke it loose and as i tried to loosen it. It spins and all but wont catch the threads.
