I installed a prosport evo boost gauge and the readings are off. It reads -15 at idle and when i datalog on hondata the map says -21. Is it a faulty sensor, gauge? I t'ed off the vacuum hose for the aeromotive FPR. Has anyone used this gauge before? Wanted to try it out used prosport before and was accurate.

 

Id give it its own source, mainly because I think FPR should have a dedicated source

 

check if there are any air leaks from the pipe that is connected to the gauge. also, is it well connected and after throttle?

 

Are you using that shitty nylon hardline?it's junk... too small for.an accurate reading and if you kink or bend it when plumbing the gauge it cracks and leaks... get a good quality rubber or silicon line.

Also mechanical gauges are almost always slightly off... given their design and construction they will never be 100% correct. also if you drop or shake the gauge hard enough it can damage the air bladder, needle return spring, or cause the needle to move on the shaft.

the only truly accurate gauges are the electric ones that use digital stepper motors and have high quality, fast responding sending units.
