A/C button light won't illuminate and compressor won't turn
Been having problems with my climate control unit. First the blower would blow only on high. Fixed that, now a/c won't kick in when I push the a/c button.

Car information
For all technical questions, the following information MUST be included in the first post: vehicle (year, make, model) and engine (if not stock, year, make, model, OBD type). Other pertinent information includes check engine light (CEL) codes as well as engine modifications, such as a turbo kit tuned at 18 psi or a specific throttle body, large injectors, big cams, etc. This information is absolutely essential because, in many instances, members wishing to help in a thread waste their time by posting detailed replies, only to find out the next day that the topic starter left out CRITICAL information. Please respect members wishing to help by taking the time to list or mention crucial information about your car.
Yes its all original bone stock. I haven't tested it with that. I just hit the a/c switch and noticed it doesn't engage. The light don't even turn on. I tried moving the a/c clutch but it seems locked up.

Voltage test fuse 13.
Details - With the A/C belt removed?
I tried moving the a/c clutch but it seems locked up.
Yes I apologize for that don't know why I didn't. I will check that fuse. Yes I took the belt off and tried turning it. The clutch that is. So could it be busted? Don't know why it would cause the light not to work?.
If blown or removed, the fuse could explain why the A/C button light fails to turn on.
Sounds like the pulley bearing is seized.
Separate problem.

You may only need to replace the compressor clutch and pulley, if you are unable to turn the pulley. If you are unable to turn the clutch armature plate, however, the compressor itself is seized and would need to be replaced.
Okay so I looked at the a/c compressor closer and with the diagram I noticed that the thermal protector wires are cut. So I got another issue there.
Cutting that wire prevents voltage from reaching the clutch coil (disables the compressor). Given that the button light also doesn't work, it appears that a previous owner really wanted the A/C system disabled.
Repairing cut wires is a relatively simple job.

So that being said he must of done it for a reason. Maybe it was shorting out or blowing fuses. I can't find the plug in part to it though its just the cut wires.
So, is the pulley or armature plate seized?
What did the voltage tests on fuse 13 tell you?
Providing more information will reveal what is wrong with the system.
Hey man thanks for the guidance. Had to get to work couldn't check it. Again thanks for the help, will post the results tomorrow.
here is a picture of the compressor the outside part the clutch actually does spin i was trying to move the pulley part yesterday. as of the fuse i did check it and it checks out good but it has a 10 amp one in rather then a 7.5 one. does this cause problems. i have more pictures ill load up here shortly
If the clutch turns but the pulley doesn't, then there's a chance the compressor is okay - just needs a new pulley.
Not sure what the plug is, but could be for the pressure switch that plugs into the condenser. How many wires and what are the wire colors?
The diagrams may help you.

Okay well I was thinking the plug was the one that connects to the thermal connection that is connects directly onto the compressor itself. Theres a plug right under it to and it looks more like the one your talking about. Could be mistaken though. Anyways it has two wires a all yellow one and a black one with a little yellow stripe.
