(ek coupe) What color to powder coat blades?
I'm undecided what color I want to do my blades. I want to just polish them, but don't know anyone who does a good enough job around here to do them. The shop that does powder coating though, does do a good job.
I'm thinking white, because white tends to look the best on them (besides polished, of course), however bronze or gold would probably look good on my green ek coupe. Although, keep in mind, that later this year I will be painting it a dark dark green.

Post any opinions, all are appreciated!

Also, I normally absolutely hate chrome, but on blades I like it!
Dark green with blades <3
Whatttttttt! Haha that's so sick..
I want to do polished so bad, but I just don't have anyone around where I live that can do a good job on it. You wanna photoshop another with black blades and another separate picture with white blades?
I would love you forever.

The black is a little sketchy looking (I butchered a little) but regardless, I personally like the white better. Idk though<3
Ah it's cool, I wasn't thinking about the black being tough to do with that picture.
I'm trying to talk to everyone I know to see if I can find someone to do the polish for me, but having no luck. It's either white or gold or a shiny bronze maybe idk, unless I can find someone to polish of course.
I hate to ask, but you wanna do a gold/bronze color, preferably shiny gold? If its a hassle don't bother.

How much are they charging you to powder coat them?
If it's anywhere above 200 (50/rim) maybe save for some aftermarket rims. Would def set it off better IMO. Powder coating is stoopid expensive around my area.
P.S. I think a bronze/dark gold always kills on clover green cars

Any other plans for the coupe?
Just keeping it all stock right now, because it's an automatic. Had to get rid of my old car before it started costing too much money to fix and a few of my friends are in the honda stuff, so I decided to hop on the train when I found this ek cheap. Gets me crazy good gas mileage going back and forth to college, so it worked out pretty good.
I thought about doing that, was looking how to do the polishing myself. Didn't seem too bad, its just the stripping part that I don't want to do haha.

Polishing is not too bad honestly. I prefer the OEM finish on stock wheels. Miss my old set
So, found out my uncles shop had a sandblaster that I had no idea about. Pretty much the family shop and is one of the main shops in my little town that people go to, and had my cousin let me in yesterday when they were closed, entire shop to myself, and had my brother and cousin help me. Ended up doing the blades by myself, saving me a good $160. The grit of sand was too fine to remove the black powder coat, we ended up having to use a ziz wheel with a 2" stripping discs from autozone, went through about 2 and a half boxes ($12 each) total for all 4 rims. Stripped the wheels, then hit it with the sandblast to get all the scratches and buff marks out. Sprayed with air and painted with 2 coats of Rustoleum paint, basically put it back to the OEM look. As of right now I'm spraying my 3rd clear coat on it, then I will wait about 24 hours and take it to get tires put on tomorrow.
Before:

After stripping with ziz wheel:

After sandblast:

Stripping finished:

After paint (no clear coat, it didn't look this good yet in person lol):

After 1 clear coat:

Gonna spray one more coat of clear to use rest of can then letting it cure.
