Why don't you just buy the '97 ITR stalk?

I don't want to look into the 97 Stalk because:

1) List from the dealership is probably expensive
2) What are the chances of finding one used
3) If they're identical to previous civics, why not use that instead.

The '97 stalk is relatively inexpensive.

Check http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net for a part # then hit up Len (iloveracing) to get a price.

I've priced out this piece before and it's not expensive at all.

He's getting rid of the rear wiper. Doesn't want extra buttons on his stalk (which I never knew was a word).

just wire an oil slick to your rear wiper stalk control or something.

Aleph, who has some extra buttons that work and some existing buttons that don't.

You just made comment!!

Anyway, what's the point of this anyway? You gonna lose points at a show for having a wiper control on your stalk and no rear wiper?

My car yells at me when I think of dumb **** like that.

1Stalk the stem of a plant
2Stalk to stride in a stiff and angry way; to hun stealthily

This is according to my Webster's Dictionary.
I guess we all have stems coming out of our steering wheels

Boy was that comment idiotic, buddy. I'm doing this because of the reasons you obviously over-read (or maybe didn't comprehend) above.

Extra buttons = not needed, not needed = remove.

I really do not think I overlooked anything in your post. So you're going to spend ~$50-88 on a new stalk just because you wont use that switch anymore after you remove your wiper? Would you remove your A/C button if you yanked your A/C out? I just don't see your logic in replacing the stalk just because you plug your wiper. Waste your money where you want to. Have a nice day.

****...i forgot to remove my A/C button

I can understand wanting to remove something you dont need anymore...but I think what you want to do is overkill. But if you have the money and are determined to do it then go right ahead and let us know how it turns out. Its your car so best of luck to you.

How much I spend on this is none of your concern, please, stop replying because your replies are irrelevant to this thread.

You stated no reasons. I'm just curious why you want a new stalk.
