Wiring B16 02 Sensore
Need some help here guys
Just swapped my b16 into my civic and im in the process of finishing the wiring, I have a Jazma 4-2-1 header, but the ****** thing only has 1 bung at the collector, from what i have read and the reasearching i have done i know that i can run with just one 02 sensor by splicing the two wires into the one sensor. This creates a problem though, the engine will either run way too rich or too lean which can create some problems through the powerband such as hesitating\bogging, i have heard many b16 swapped honda - tech members complain about this.
My question is, I have heard that having the ECU chipped can resolve the problem by deleting the secondary o2 sensor so that the computer only needs 1 02 sensor input.
what im wondering is how chipping the ecu to only see 1 02 sensor resolves the problem ? i mean the b16 has 2 02 sensors for a reason.
so im asking your help, what do you guys think i should do ? should i chipp the ecu not knowing what results i might get, or should i chop up my new header by welding 2 bungs in the primaries of the header where the location is on the stock manifold.
any help would be appreciated
thanks
