Removing Rear Bumper on Hatchback
I need some help with this. I've gotten the front bumper cover off with no problem, but the rear bumper is giving me lots of trouble. I removed the screws in the wheel wells and all the bolts underneath and behind the license plate. It's whatever's holding it on top that I'm havin a problem with. I took out the taillights and I see a bracket thing on each side, but I took the bolts off those and found out there's 2 more bolts behind em where I definitely can't get at, even with a swivel socket. Then it feels like just a big screw that's holding the bracket onto the bumper cover, but that's too rusted and out of reach for me to unscrew. The other thing is that the wires for the license plate light are attached to both the car and the bumper cover, so what do I do with those? I also have to take off the filler piece right above the bumper with the keyhole in it, but I'm havin trouble with that too. Can anyone help me out here? I looked for helms manuals online, but all I could find on this was the crx.
No, I'm putting a factory painted bumper on instead of the black one. But I don't want to wreck this one in the process cause I might need it or be able to sell it later.

The four philips screws in the fender wells and then in the spare tire well there are two nuts that are acorn style remove them. Then open the cover over the lights and you will find two more just like the ones in the spare tire well. Be sure to disconnect the license plate light or it will break the wires and they are a pain the splice. Hope this helps!
Yeah be carefull with that black bumper
I could use one that isn't all banged up. I think there's a couple screws holding the "valence" on, a few inches to the left and right of the license plate. You can only get at them from underneath. If I remember right, the valence has to come off with the bumper. The valence also has bolts on each end. It bends easy so be carefull. I could use a straight one of them too.

Right you are only two screws a side. And yes after reading the manual you have to remove the center interrior panel to get to the top screws. Go for it it's not that hard!
