99 Civic Starter Help
I have a 99 SI with a b20b and b16 tranny and the car refuses to start unless its a push start. Once in a blue moon it will start normally. When I turn the key nothing happens and all I hear is a whirring noise. It doesnt try to turn over or anything, nothing happens at all. Could this be the starter or could there be another cause. I have load tested the battery and its fine. Im saving up to replace/rebuild starter but I would like to know if that is the problem or what else I can do to narrow it down.
Also, another question is how best would i adjust the idle rpms. Right now it idles at roughly 500-700 maybe. Ive been told that too low and when i turn on the AC it drops even more, almost shutting engine off. Should i adjust the timing as some people have told me or should i adjust the throttle cable.
