Default help!

so i got this honda civic 99 si it wont start when i turn on the ignition. i dont here nothing, no cranking no nothing but when i jump start it from under the hood where the starter is with a screw driver it starts up fine and i drive it all over until i turn it off again and i gotta jump it again. this happen just today(6/24) yesterday(6/23) was working just fine..

whats the problem???

Without performing diagnostic troubleshooting nobody can tell you what is wrong. From what you say, I would begin figuring out why turning the ignition switch to START doesn't cause the starter to turn.

Check for battery voltage at the starter solenoid in the START position. Trace backward if voltage is not present to find the fault ( Aftermarket alarm? Aftermarket starter cut? ). If voltage is present the starter is probably broken.

sorry im very new to this trying to do it myself to save money but anyways

there are to voltage present at the starter. so it must be good right?

have you check and to make sure all your grounds are not corroded? i had a problem similar to this and i had to clean my engine ground

Check to make sure you have power at the small wire at the starter with the key in the start position(3rd) you will need help doing this , if not then check fuses or relays under the dash and hood. If you have power then your solenoid on the starter is bad and needs replaced

naw no power at the starter and ill go take a look at the relays fuses are all good
