Bought the car for a daily beater for $800 runs and drives great gets me to point A and B. Can't complain. . As u can see the paint is horrible . Decided to go with plasti dip camo tan since I didn't wanna spend a lot of money on a paint job or go to maco. Let me know wht u think.

Why do you care what others think of your paint job? Do you seriously need approval of others? Imo, one word: eww. If you can't do an actual paint job yourself, start saving. Even a professional vinyl wrap looks 5000x better than plasticrap.

 

I probably would have color matched the fender and whatever else was needed to get the car to one color.

From an outsider's perspective - the "before" look appears that the car could still be saved. The "after" has ghetto stamped all over it. But if you're happy with it, thats all that matters.

 

I agree with this statement 100%. I actually felt that it looked better before, even with the mismatched panel colors.

 

am I missing something, or did you rattlecan your entire car just because of a fender that was a different color?

I concur, but even that could have been cleverly disguised by just painting the front of the car. Taped off at an angle maybe half way through the drivers door. Past that the color of the plasti dip is what really kills it... there is sooo many colors why that one?

 

well if its plasti dip, he can peel it off anytime he wants. i don't mind the camo tan. it's just all the dents and f-d up bumpers that make the paint job look worse.
