Need help with Front Engine Mounts (02 Civic DX 1.7L)
Hello all!
The Front Engine Mount for my 2002 Civic DX 1.7L needs to be replaced because it's starting to crack and every post I've seen on various forums are saying how bad aftermarket mounts are because they apparently don't last long and also that they add significant vibrations compared to the OEM mounts. I found an online shop for Canadians that sell various brands such as Westar, Beck/Arnley, DEA, etc, but I'm hesitant to buy for these 2 reasons. My local Honda Dealership wants $130 + tax for the mount itself which is pretty outrageous in my opinion.
Anyway that can offer advice regarding OEM and Aftermarket mounts would be greatly appreciated.

Normal non-OEM (rubber) mounts may wear faster than OEM but, don't cause increased vibration. Poly (polyurethane) mounts have vastly increased vibration but, will last the life of the car.
