Default Question about exhaust and crankcase pressure?

So quick question. If your running lets say 12:1:1 comp and and lets say 2.25 header to 2.25 pipe to 2.5 exhaust would this have an effect on crank case pressure. Also would you run a different breather set up on this comp instead of the "black box"?

What kind of block? That is the first obstacle.

This is going to sound dumb but crankcase pressure comes from pressure escaping into the crankcase . . . the main way it gets there is past your rings through the end gap and to a smaller degree during flutter if you can't control them at high RPM and how loose you have set piston to wall clearance, etc.

The greater you make cylinder pressure, the greater the likelihood of the rings not being able to control all of it when the variables are held constant. A more effective exhaust scavenges the combusted gasses easier but still doesn't effect the peak pressure within the cylinder that much.

OK interesting, so I have a gsr block with ls crank and eagle rods, with b16 head, should I set up a better system then the black box? Good info thank you.

The exhaust should not directly effect crankcase pressure. If the exhaust is giving you that much back pressure there would be other concerns as well.
