Picked up a delicious hood from a sedan for my 90 SI. It seems to be 3/4 inch too long. Anyone ever modified these to fit? I am painting afterwards so chopping and sanding not a problem. Just want to know if it has been done before.

Wrecked my **** the other night, messed up headlamps, hood, and LF fender.

EDIT: From savannah, ga. Very scarce on CRX/EF parts so I had to snag this while i could.

not yet, still dirty. But it looks delicious. Anyone seen this done before?

 

Looks like a lot more than cut/sand. When I cut enough off to make it fit, the bolt holes at the rear are getting chopped in the process.

 

Get the right hood.

Is that what you wanted to hear? No, a sedan hood will not ******* work. Get the right hood, that is the only way.

If you were closer id trade you on of the crx hoods i have collecting dust in my garage for the sedan hood. I have a hard time findn sedan parts but crx n hatches are all over the place. Good luck with your project.
