H22a obd1put a new harrness in from rywire and hard wired the fuel pump line into the old harness ecu clip like I was told. I got the care to fire and run perfectly! Then my brother decided to pull a prank n pulled the fuel pump wire we wired in out and it killed the car. But instead of it firing once I put the wire in it just turns over and dumps fuel in. No damn spark! Checked all fuses and ground wires appear fine n secure. Any info helps. Thanks

 

What did you do to test for spark ?

 

My brother created a spark tester basically sticking a wire in the spark plug wire n tryi g to see it jump to a ground. Tried all 4 plugs got nothin. Not sure if what happened could have fried the tdc or distributor

 

Possibly the coil. Check if the coil is putting out.

 

ya you probably blew the coil or the fuse .. get a spark tester they are safer and easier to use

 

Replaced the ignitor in the distributor. Nothing... could be be the main relay that went out? Not sure what to do first dist. Relay or ecu replacment

 

Unless the sensors in the dizzy tdc i believe is bad. If main relay was bad you wouldn't have fuel. Check the coil and like he stated check the fuses

 

For spark, take a wire off, put a spark plug in it, and press the threads of the plug to a metal part on the engine thats grounded...

 

you need to check for spark and fuel .. narrow it down then go from there ... stop guessing

 

Gonna replace the dist but I waiting on my cash to come in. Rywire has em for 220 think thats fair or over priced. Also what else should I buy parts wise to just be done with it. No fuses are popped. And with it firing before I cant say it could be the ecu. Not sure tho. Um I tried to get codes from the eng light but its either burnt out or reading 0 which is ecu failure I beleave. Anyways what other parts to be sure other than the dist

 

When you turn the key forward to ACC II (before turning it over to start) and the dash gauges light up, do you see ECU light ?

Do you hear the click under the dash for the ignition relay?

 

Slight click nothing loud no ecu light. Not sure if the bulb is burnt out or what. No injection pulse no spark
