Default B20vtec ECU Help - #9 (me love you long time)

Hey guys, recently purchased a 91' CRX Si with a B20vtec that was an unfinished project from someone else. It has a P28VTEC ECU with a p72 chip installed.

At this point, I'm pretty much left with some wiring to finish up (yay) But I'm at a loss on a few things..

Essentially, the car starts and runs in limp mode. Spits out codes for ECT, VTEC, TP but what really stands out is the #9 - No.1 Cyl Position Sensor.

From what I understand, with the Si's MPFI, this sensor is located within the distibutor, short of replacing it, what can I do to test this sensor and diagnose the issue?

Thank you for any input.

Please let me know if I left out any pertinent information.

Check the wiring at the dizzy to make sure the OBD0 to OBD1 convention was on done correctly. Were jumper harnesses used?

Concerning the distributor wiring, I was under the impression the OBD0 distributor had to be swapped with an OBD1 unit to run a P28 ECU but I've seen "hints" on the Internet that the OBD0 distributor just has to be rewired. Can someone confirm this and if it is true, provide a link to the rewiring? Thanks!

No you need an Obd1 dizzy. The crank signal reads different or something. You can rewire the plug so u don't need a jumper harness.

Yes, I believe OBD0 is 16 pulses vs 24 on OBD1 (correct me if I'm wrong). The thing is I've been selling OBD1 distributors with my OBD0 to OBD1 conversion kits (ECU, ECU harness, distributor & distributor harness) for years but just recently seen "hints" that the OBD1 distributor is not necessary.
