have a 1994 Honda accord lx non vetch that does not want to idle or take the gas ok ill start with have put a new timing kit on it customers request so that didn't fix went bak and looked at timing 3 timies its all correct its had a new dist, coil, ive adjusted the valves, it has 37 psi of fuel pressure ive changed intake gaskets they leaked no good still same cleaned idle air control and throttle body checked compression it has 165 psi on all cylinders and it still does the same **** ive spent 7 days on it no codes stored in computer any help will be great tis car is drivig me crazy oh and changed the main relay to no luck there either

 

and one other thing if u adjust the iac valve should it not idle it up or idle it down and could the fuel pump have the pressure but not the volume they said fuel pump ben replaced 6 months ago...........

Also you can get the throttle just rite and it run like a champ but u cant floor it u have to slowly easy in to it and the n it will rev like it should...



Anything hint tip tricks **** anything please

 

if it only does it once the car warms up it could be a bad oxygen sensor

if it does it also cold maybe check cap rotor plugs ..even a plug wire could be bad

 

it does it from when u crank it till you cut it off at normal temp.. its got a brnd new dist in it heres another thing the two middle plugs are black and smutty were the number 4 is white like u just pulled it out of a new box. it idles real low bout 2 r 300 rpms

 

im thinking bad gas.... dirty as fuel filter... bad injectors.... maybe even the resister box. heck maybe the ecu. black and smutty usually either means oil or rich conditions. might be a 02 sensor after all.

 

what about EGR?

 

egr vlve is free and clear and when pull vacuum on it it opens and closes like it should, ive thought bout the resistor box but what ever body says to check it it checks out good you put stethoscope on the injectors u can here all 4 clicking equaly. ecu could very well b possablity haven't looked at it yet, it didn't have water in the gas and it didn't smell bad or look bad I had the idle air control valve to threw a fit yesterday so im leaning on the iac is not opening all the way or the fuel filter is bad

 

Just for giggles, what are the color of the three wires going to the MAP sensor?

Not sure of the back ground here but the MAP and TPS connectors can get switched - car will somewhat idle but when you try to give it gas it starts to die out......and no code will be set.

 

ok finally figured out what problem is the damn injectors were stopped up in the top with the lil screen filters in the top but now its acts like its killing power to the igniton it bogs and then tries to die cut it off and rank it bak it run good again but it idles right and runs righlt now but the loss of power

 

did you clean the egr plate or just the valve ?

just because it stalls when egr is lifted doesnt mean all the ports are clean

possibly combined with a lazy oxygen sensor
