Default Wiring obd0 to obd1. Ls swap.

I have a 89 civic hatchback si and im doing a ls swap from my 93 integra ls. I would prefer to wire in the distributor, and i am wondering how hard is it to wire in a odb1 jumper harness using my 93 integras ecu plugs. If anyone has any info on if they have done either would be nice. Thanks.

Well if you want to make look nice and clean, just depin your wires from your obd0 harness and use the obd1 plug. That way you don't have to solder anything and it looks stock. The only hard part is learning how to depin.. Took me a while, but it was well worth it. Not really that hard though lol all you need is a small enough flat head and needle nose pliers. I mean really small flat head. I used one for my glasses and i still shaved it down some. Or you can try using a pick.

But if you don't want to go that route, then here is a thread that has a diagram on it: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/obd0-obd1-conversion-2775492/

Ok thanks so the distributor is a simple fix. As for ECU i dont see anything on how to wire it in yourself.

well since im pulling the harness to see about wiring my ecu, i think while its out imma just redo the wire covering and just solder in the distributor since its only like 9 wires. Ecu will be fun fun to solder or even just depin and repin.

Yeah, it's a really long processes. Just take your time and double check everything. You don't want to do this job twice. Wiring gets confusing especially if you take a break.

if your are not good with diagrams and such Just buy a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. Its ugly AF but it saves alot of struggle if you dont know what you are doing.

The OBD0 to OBD1 jumper harness is well worth the money. I think mine was $40 on eBay.

Also, the distributor jumper harness is easy to make yourself. Go to the junkyard, pull the plugs off an OBD0 distributor and the plugs off the engine side of an OBD1 Honda. Then you just connect the appropriate colors and you're in good shape. Plug and play for dollars.

7 wires is a lot easier than 75 by the way.

I have a write up around here somewhere...
