Default Help diagnosing a creaking sound (video inside)

This video is not me but the sound is 100% identical. I've already greased the steering rack as I initially thought that was the problem since it's so common with EP3s.

I can get the sound while driving but also when turning the wheel while the car isn't moving.

It's a stock EP3 with about 200K KM (about 125K miles).

I noticed yesterday (while moving the wheel around) that it primarily happens while turning to the left. When turning the wheel to the right it either doesn't make noise, or makes an extremely faint sound.

I had someone listening while turning the wheel and they thought it was coming from the tie rod end. At first I ignored that and assumed it was the steering rack since that problem is so common in EP3's but after greasing it up it’s still making the noise. In retrospect, I should have known it wasn't the rack because I would think the noise would be the same turning left or right if that was the issue.

I'm starting to lean towards it being the tie rod but I just wanted to know if that specific noise was familiar with anyone else.

Yea, the tierod ends are the ep are a very good possibly.....jackup the front end and pull the wheels and check them......never replace just one....if one is gone, the other is not far behind.
