Great job compiling the information. I am however curious as to why you would need to know all those.

I personally run the Honda OEM's. Buy a huge pack online and crush washers on top. Being I have 3 Honda's to maintain.

Easy answer.
Price comparison
Availability
Quality comparions

I tend not to buy OEM Honda oil filters as they are marked up by dealers and quality is just average. WIX does make a great filter and the price is nice on those !

Mahle makes awesome filters btw !

I bought 2 cases of wix at 4.15 a filter when they had a yearly sale….but my first 91crx si I only used oem honda from miles 99k-226k, and used castrol GTX conventional 5w-30. never had an issue except rust, but that was my yearly DD then. Since then I buy them rust free with no body work ever, and park them in winter and let my Subaru's do winter duty.

I think it was around 99-00 that Honda filter went from big fat to skinny nothing.

Checked my filter stash. Looks like I have six of the Honda honeywells left with crush washers. after watching the video about the honeywell and filtech comparison it seems the filtech may have had some better components. The mahle video provided looks decent as well.

Any thoughts on if there would be benefits to running the Ktuned universal filter?

Universal filter

It's more durable for racing applications. You dont want filter element failure allowing dirt to enter the engine and cause more wear.
This would be good for, lets say a 24 hour race ?
Someone should make a see through oil filter can so the condition of the filter can be inspected .

Bought some various brands of oil filters today for my 1990 CRX and 1988 Civic.
I found these at a local Automotive parts store here in Toronto.
Here's some pics and prices that I paid.

1. Mann ML1002 - Made in USA - Paid $4.95 each

2. Mahle OC330 - Made in Austria - Paid $4.99 each

3. Baldwin B1402 - Made in USA - Paid $6.60 (For CRX)
(notice how much smaller in size it is)

4. Baldwin B161S - Made in USA - Paid $6.99 (For Civic)

5. Bosch 3312 - Made in USA - Paid $5.99
