First post - WooHoo!

Hello - 2007 Pilot. A/C Compressor clutch does not engage. Coolant was low but added to appropriate level. Clutch still does not engage. Blower motor runs and blows ambient temperature air as expected. Fuses/Relays swapped with others of same value/type with no difference. Both radiator fans are running. Engine RPM increases slightly when the A/C is turned on.

My power steering rack and pinion was replaced over the winter. This is the first time I've checked the A/C since the repair. Even though they are in different areas of the engine, is it possible the mechanic did not reassemble everything properly? I know how to use a meter if I need to check voltages. Thanks - Slow-n-Steady.

Check for battery voltage at the coil with engine running and A/C on, if you have voltage your problem is within the coil.

the compressor clutch won't engage if their isn't proper level of freon in the system. you can do a simple test to see if their is enough freon in the system though. find your low pressure switch in the system and from my knowledge its located on the accumulator. disconnect the switch and check if its a two wire low pressure switch and take a jumper wire or for simple test you can use a paper clip. jump these two wires on the low pressure switch and if the compressor kicks on then you have low freon in your system and need an Evac/Recharge of your AC System.

The clutch relays tend Togo bad. The CRX RDX Pillot all had a recall from Honda.
