Default Aftermarket OEM replacement headlights

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with aftermarket headlight replacements for 97-01 models? Mine have a film (maybe clear coat?) that is flaking off and just in case my attempt to remove it and buff them fails I wanted to see if there are any decent aftermarket units that hold up well, don't leak, etc. I'll try to post some pics of mine a little later to see if they are salvageable or not.

There are usually fitment issues. Take the old ones to a bodyshop and get them to wet sand a clear them, they'll look like new.

I too have been looking for a decent replacement set... One of the reflector caps inside fell off, and is rolling around in there like a googly eye.

I have some ebay ones, havnt put them on yet. I wanted to take my time, may or may not put projectors in. so I wanted a spare set. maybe I should run them awhile and see how they hold up before I use them? or put them in and refinish my oem..

I have heard good things about the 3m headlight restoration kit. Mine too are faded/stained from years in the sun.
I have purchased the kit, just have not had time to take them apart and use it.

3m kit is very good and cheap.
Make my original lights look brand new.
Then I put thin film over them so they won't fog up again. All I have to do is replace the film.

Just bit the bullet and bought a set so as soon as they come in I'll post a review and write up. I picked up a used roof rack off Craigslist today and the guy had a set. Looked pretty good so we'll see.

Finally got a chance to order and install the ones from ebay. The brand was Vision and if you search they're around $75 shipped. Fitment was perfect and initial quality was great. We'll have to see how they hold up long term but I'm happy.

Before and after

Both installed

Final after wash

Made a video on my youtube channel for install (also good video for bumper removal which is SUPER simple)

LOOKS GOOD! Will have to try and look into that brand was thinking to go with the TYC ones...

Probably not? or maybe? But by chance anyone know if they (Vision) the ones ^HondaPartsHero bought are the same company/place that made the eg/ej "jdm" vision amber corners (off from jdmshit.com)?? If so they should be great quality as my younger brother and I each got a set, miss the old ej but now got my bros eg as he lost interest

i bought it 3yrs ago and put the film on it... never replaced the film eversince and no signs of haze yet...
i did the same on my '13 pilot, to protect the headlight from the harsh weather of the east coast...

film is yellow in pic but its not a crazzzy beam once you use it, its not even like the foglight yellow,
just enough hint for the beam to cut through fog, snow and heavy rain... no issues with the cops coz
its not as annoying as other hid glare.. i work in NYC, no issues with cops...
