everytime I launch my car while hitting the 2 step it launchs good, and it hits 2nd gear and rpms to 8500 rpms redling how it should be. but when its on 2nd its max mph is aat 40. so when I shift down to 3rd it drops rpms from 8500 to like 3500-4000. does anybody know why it does this?

You are probably having tire spin in 2nd causing the rpm to be up but your mph is low.

 

Is your speedo hooked up correctly. If your car doesn't register movement you'll be stuck at your 2 step limiter in every gear.
