Default Finally...a non-performance build: 2004 TL 6spd

So to begin, I have not had a "nice" car with working accessories since well....2005. We are expecting our first baby in September and there isnt a chance in hell i was going to be carrying our newborn around in a 400hp tin can of a 92 civic.

Anyway, so I was on the search and started looking into a TSX or TL. really became fond of the TSX but I had always been a fan of the 3rd generation TL. Found one I really liked but continued looking around while I talked to the owner (who is a car guy and even a member here which I find out later). As I searched around, I never found a car that could match the qualities of this car regardless of the mileage and age.

So i bought this TL with 159k miles:

The car has Function and Form coilovers which was very nice because it was too low for me, not to mention they were like new which meant less work for me in replacing parts lol.

It also has a comptech catback exhaust which has an amazing tone!

The wheels are TSW but i dont know the model. I originally planned on selling them but now I can help but think they look really good.

Anyway, the headlights had the typical oxidation but not bad enough to ruin the lenses.

I purchased the 3M headlight restoration kit and it did an amazing job

This system was very straight forward and worked very well. Only thing you need is a drill. I started with my cordless makita but the battery didnt last long and moved to my dewalt plug in drill.

I dont have pictures of the passenger side as it got too dark, but I have process pictures of the passenger side and finished product of the driver side as both were roughly the same clarity. The pictures were through my phone but the pictures dont do it justice. anyway here are some pictures:

passenger side untouched:

it has a process of 500 grit, 800 grit and then 3000 grit wet sand. tops off with a buffing pad and rubbing compound and a protective wax.

this was the final product on the driver side:

So today I spent 4 hours on an exterior detail. clay bar + Meguires swirl X + Meguires gold glass paste.....all by hand lol. Needless to say I am tired and ill let the pictures attempt to do the justice:

I've got some ideas on refreshing the black trim but i will get some pictures of that along with some interior picture before and afters once i get around to that side of detailing.

thanks for looking!

TSW Valencia

And, you could definitely put some KW Variant's on that, with some nice CE28's or Type-C's.

KW's would be a waste of a coilover on a car like that.

Talk about overpriced.

Considering I was talking in jest with a fellow colleague, I don't see the point of you posting at all.

As for your comment on their product value, I would love to see how you could argue that they're overpriced.

KW?

Not interested in changing coilovers though. These ride pretty nice.

Also needs to get a dash mat to keep it from cracking anymore. It has two cracks in it and that's enough for me!
