Default eBay sensors, good or bad?

does anyone have any experience buying cheap sensors (more specifically VSS, o2, map)

any problems? how long do they last? worth the $7? shipped from china vs USA?are they good for temp replacements until i can afford a higher quality one? etc.

any feedback and/or links to websites that sell known quality cheap parts is greatly appreciated. :D

Good question. I was having issues with my VSS this winter, so I have one of those $7 VSS's from there. They had sold a bajillion of them, maybe they'll be alright. My VSS problem went away by itself, so I haven't put the Ebay sensor in yet.

Cheap O2 sensors are ****. They will be as bad or worse than the faulty sensor.
VSS sensors tend to get dirty and can be disassembled and cleaned, for free.
O2 sensors are fairly cheap from ROCKAUTO.com Only use Denso, NTK, Delco/Delphi.
MAP sensor is 50 vs 90 from Honda.

If you are getting codes for all three of these devices at once, I would suspect there is a problem with the wire harness, or ground harness. Check that first before spending any money on new sensors.

Easy way to know if a replacement O2 is worth it...

If it looks like the top beer can sized 'Bosch' unit, its gonna be junk.
If it looks more like the slimmer well designed Denso, then you know you are on the right track.

my odometer doesnt work sometimes.. the needle bounces and then goes to 0. it was doing it once in a while and now its becoming more frequent. which one of these do i need to replace to make it work..

i replaced the o2 sensor 2 days ago with a cheap one ($10) and the code cleared. put 500 miles on the car yesterday, so far no problems.
here is old (left) vs new (right)
