Default 98 Civic - P0420, stumble, and idle problems

Howzit guys, V8 guy new to the forum.

Bought a 98 civic hatch 5spd a year and a half ago w/ 150k miles, bone stock for a daily driver. CEL was on and threw P0420. She ran perfect with one slight motor stumble every once in awhile so I left her alone. Now with 174k the stumbling problem has gotten worse and only happens at low rpm (from approx. 1500-3000) and at a 1/4 throttle or more, goes away in the upper rpm's. 2nd problem I'm kinda stumped on, started a few weeks ago, don't know if it could be linked to the first. It's a hanging idle problem that causes the engine to idle at 1300rpm and ac to blow warm. I can turn off the ac button and idle returns to normal, turn it back on and the idle jumps again, if it doesn't, ac returns ice cold. Happens intermittently and not everyday, other than that, she runs great!

Any help would be great, thank guys!
