Icon7 ambient air temp sensor

Recently my ambient air reading are incorrect. For sometime they have been slow to react, but recently they just are too slow to react or just flat out wrong. I have cleaned the sensor, but that did no good. My question is, if I replace the sensor behind the bumper, will that solve my problem, or is there something else at work that I'm not aware of?
I would appreciate any input from others. I would assume there are more than a few people with bad ambient air reading than just me! Thank you.

How do you know the readings are wrong?

Pretty obvious when my 3 thermometers--which all read within 1 degree of one another, show a difference compared to the cars reading. Also, just simply observing other readings from weather outlets, also show an error. Yes, I did initially calibrate the car thermometer, but it was only off 1 degree, and I can't complain about that. I guess the biggest issue is it simply takes too long to adjust to the current temp as it rises during the day. Again, I have no trouble replacing the sensor, so long as that will solve the problem, and the isn't something else lurking that would also cause a faulty reading. I do appreciate your reply, and hopefully you may have some knowledge about the ambient air temp function of the car.
