1/4 mile help
hey so i've got a stock k20a3 ep3 with a magnaflow catback and a SRI, the best i could get on the quarter was 16 flat, that was running 225s all around, this time ill be running skinnys in the rear and 225s in the front, I'm gutting the car down to a drivers seat but need more hints on tips to drop my time as all my buddies are in low 15's or 14's and I want to be a little competitive but I'm in a budget and the race is in a few weeks. I know how to drive the car and am consistent with my shifts and everything along those lines, so anything else would be greatly appreciated.
Post up time slips. What tire was on the car, need more info than just the width.
honestly, what more do you expect from this car?
I'm sure your buddies are making more power too then.

In a car that has no power and isn't a dedicated track car, it makes 0 sense to do this.
That is a drastic suggestion and would only help knock very minimal time, nothing worth the effort and destroying the car.
I would just reword that to say "go faster".
Yup! Will pick up MPH even on the slowest of cars. Most people forget about alignments. It's sad.

to the op find a header when u get to track remove accessory belts if u can .. I'm not sure how those are set up ima b series guy air up your rear tires to max .. or a little past lol less rolling resistance r you burning out ? if not drive around the water box if u have a second set of tires for front that are snows u mite b able to try them they are normally a softer compound
K series use 1 belt and an auto tensioner.
A header and FlashPro(and a tune) would be perfect to help pick up some power in this. A good radial or slick as well.
Burnouts are not worth it on most street tires too, so if you are on one, avoid the wet box.

time slips I don't seem to have any kicking around but I know I was running about an 83 MPH trap speed as I can recall. Depending on if my clutch and engine holds up this year I will be headed back out to the strip fairly often
Well that is about as much as you can expect with that MPH and MPH doesn't lie. I would guess it was like a 2.4 60 foot as well?
Lowers ETs in this situation would be due to a better 60 foot time among other things.
