Default CRX Roll cage

Finally upgrading to a 10pt cage. Wondering where everyone put their bars through the dash without annihilating the look of the stock dash. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

No pic cuz my car is in the shop, but I didn't run mine THRU the dash, per se.

I ran it as far under the dash and towards the firewall as I could. It looks like it'll bash your shins or block the pedals, but I can't hit it if I try. Even if I bring my leg up to try to kick it, my foot hits the firewall before my shin hits the bar.

The only problem I had was there's a support brace dead in the middle of my '89 DX that connects the dash to the floor. I had to hack that in half and take a chunk out of it. My bar now runs "thru" it, and I welded the support to the bar itself.

I think I am going to actually notch the crx dash so I can still remove it if need be, instead of going through the dash and cutting holes.
