When you are standing in front of the car looking at the engine it's on the left side on the top of the transmission. It is the only plug with wires that goes into the transmission near there.

PERFECT! Thanks a lot. I was looking at that one I was thinking it was that one and I was right. Appreciate it. And one last thing the b16 one has a gear? Or you can just change sensor? Or best to change gear and sensor together? And how do I identify which speed sensor I need like denso or the other one that starts with a m. Is there writings on it or how the connector is?

When mine broke I went to honda and got the whole thing. Think it was 110 or so.

I have lsv/ls trans into a civic and my local honda dealership is ridiculous when I ask for acura parts. I got them to get me vss for 99 si and it works fine. Hardest part was removing the old sensor (was broken and fused to the tranny)

You can remove the 2 10mm bolts and change just the sensor part.

Wouldn't it be best to pull whole thing with gear out to check?

Well mine came out in two pieces the top half was broken off and the bottom half - I had to pry it out. The gear came straight out and wasnt chipped or anything so I installed the new one and plugged it in no problem.

You got robbed. I think I paid 40 for mine at autozone, and that's with a lifetime warranty.

Yeah...I've seen them for 67 I think autozone quoted me something around that price (this was like 6-8 months ago I can't remember). I had bought one that was supposed to be for b series tranny before from autozone and it didn't work. Guessing the kid just gave me the wrong part but yes you can find them cheaper.
