Please forgive my ignorance if I've missed it.

I've Googled around and can't find a write-up.

I'm trying to find a write-up for a D16a6 to B16a conversion. I'm wanting to purchase and rebuild the B16a engine out of a car down the road. It's also an EF, I'd purchase the whole car, so the swap is complete.

I am not worried about a performance build, although I wouldn't mind to add some better pieces to the engine as it's apart.

I'm trying to piece together a list of all the things I'll be needing for a conversion, as I'm not mechanically inclined enough to know what all materials I'll need. I plan to get it professionally rebuild, though I'd like to maybe tackle the swap myself.

Anyone know what cost I'd be looking at for a rebuild?

I'd want all new components, due to not knowing the previous driver's attention to detail. So, new axles, rebuild trans as well, etc.

My car is a DD as of now, but I'm getting another vehicle soon and it will become a garage queen.

I'm really looking for a guide or build thread of someone going from a D16a6 to a B16a. I'm not very educated on this matter, so any information is welcome.

I even did a write up in this sub forum. There are millions. The chassis is what you need to worry about. Your current motor doesn't exactly matter. The only impact it has is whether or not you need to do a DPFI to MPFI swap, which you won't have to.
