1989 HB DX. D15B2 motor. 5spd.
Symptoms:
1.Car won't start with the key. When I turn the key to start nothing happens. I checked the voltage of the signal wire from the harness to the starter and it was only putting out 2.6V. I have to jump the starter to start the car.
2. Turn signal fuse blows every time I put it in reverse.
3. Wiper fuse blows as soon as I put it in. If the car is running when I put it in the engine stutters, fuse blows, engine returns to normal idle.
Any ideas?
My first thought is to pull the engine wiring harness and visually inspect every inch of it. When I have time of course.
Any other troubleshooting ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

The first one sounds like the ignition switch needs replacement. The second and the third one is best if you have a wiring diagram to guide you..
