My one doesn't have a rev gauge and i was wanting one, I have done a bit of searching and some people say other clusters will plug n play (That's where it will work without having to re-wire anything right?, don't know allot about cars tbh)
If so what ones would work

96-00 civic (all) acura el, 1gen crv, dozens of other jdm/edm clusters all plug and play.

 

So i literally just plug it in and it will work? could i do it at home by myself, Thanks heaps for the reply i needed to know asap as i could get one tomorrow

 

yup. two screws hold the cover in, 4 hold the cluster. verrrry easy.

What cluster do you think would be best looking/cheapest from a wreckers?

 

do they have crv's available where you live? the 1g cluster looks pretty good and is usually pretty cheap.

Just wanted to make sure 100% that if i get one with a rev gauge i literally just unplug it from the car at the wreckers, unplug mine and plug the cables into the same slots on the new one? Will there be any cables hanging/doesn't matter if mine doesn't have a rev gauge and the new one does? Thanks

Do i plug in the yellow clip or orange clip? No rev when i just plugged it in

 

yellow is for srs. plug it in.

 

ok This is the back of the cluster

but where does the orange cable go? I plugged yellow one in and the two up the top but no rev/right indicator and stuff.. confused..

 

How can i clean the bits where the pings go into?
