95 Civic DX w/ D16Y8 idle problem when AC on. Video attached
My car idle is acting up really weird when AC is on. I took video of it. I feel like IAC is being lazy.
It happened out of nowhere while I was driving back from work to home. I had AC on the whole time because it's 99 degree here in AZ. After I got home and parked in driveway, I notice that idle was acting up.
I cleaned the IACV, MAP sensor and TB opening. I had idle dipping problem before but after taking out MAP sensor, I noticed that gasket between MAP sensor and TB has a crack. Replaced that and idle no longer dips. But the new jumping idle when AC on is still there.
Here's my car's setup.
Manual D16Y8 on OBDI ECU
GSR TB with FITV closed completely
Y8 automatic intake manifold with drilled holes for manual IACV.
IAT sensor on cold air intake.
1 year old O2 sensor.
