IAT code
I just pulled the code for an eye a high voltage, & I was wondering if there is a fuse that controls the sensor? I have tried everything to reset, replacing the sensor, and I'm going nuts here!
I ended up solving my issue - For future reference I will post what happened here:
Knowing that the IAT sensor I had was brand new, I threw a scanner on it, and constantly came back with 'IAT High Voltage' (V@4.59 - Degrees (F)@ -44), even when clearing the code through the scanner. As I was checking the harness junction where the MAP and IAT sensors connect, and when I put everything back, I forgot to put the MAP plug back on - I went back in the car, checked the code, and it told me my MAP was disconnected - I jumped out, plugged it in, reset the codes, and the CEL stayed OFF! I was jumping for joy as it idled, and *tink*, CEL comes back on - So I figure just for ***** and giggles, I'll replace the MAP sensor, and after I installed the new one, the CEL stayed off for about 10 minutes or so, then came back on, with the same IAT code - Now I'm getting pissed, because it's a brand new sensor, and it worked fine! I bring it back to AutoZone, and they swap it for another one - I put it in, and so far I've gone about 120 miles with no CEL! What I think happened is that the MAP sensor started going, which shorted out the IAT sensor, but since the MAP never completely **** out, it never threw a code - Just something for others to consider if they have a stubborn CEL due to an IAT sensor ...
