F2B (f20b) or Type R swap
I'm looking to do I complete swap for my ek hatch here in a month or too. I was planning on an Type R swap at first ;about 5500 from h motors. Direct Bolt in no hassle reliable with a respectable 168-185whp on avg and 128-138 ftlbs of torque. But I think about my old f20b in my cd5 it made 178whp and 140lbs of torque in an accord chassis with an f22 long geared trans ac and power steering plus balance shafts. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I think I'll have no issues with the swap.. it definitely won't be my first (turn wrenches for a living) . My question to you h2b guys is can you daily drive the qsd reliably with no axle issues and retain A/C . Also can I get the expensive bulk out of the way with a 5500 budget. I crunched the numbers and its looking like its lmost the same even after Hondata and Euro R intake. I'm not sure what trans is best for the higher revving f20b. The car will be more of a weekend warrior ,my secondary car. Will a b16 lsd be to short? And finally is it worth the hassle for the gains over the notoriously reliable type R swap. Any info from experienced members will be greatly appreciated thanks.
