95 accord 2.2 vtech hard time starting
hey guys ive got a 95 accord exr 2.2l 5spd vetch and ive changed the battery, starter and alternator. cleaned all leads terminals grounds. ive done voltage tests and all everythings all good. but I need to turn key like 3 or 4 times to start the car. or sometimes it wont even start and I need to be jumped to work. it will roll start aswell im running out of ideas and would like to solve this problem myself I am mechanically inclined so any help would be great
What does it do when it doesn't start. I'm just curious if it is a power issue or mechanical. Does everything inside the car have good electrical charge? Also when you turn the ignition does anything happen? Starter spins slow, clicks, or just nothing? I'm thinking you could possibly have a faulty ignition switch and or ignition relay, which i believe is the main relay on an accord. Just need a little more info on how the car reacts when it won't/hard start. How many miles are on the car? and also did this just happen out of the blue? or progressively get worse? or perhaps did it happen after replacement of a part or tinkering with something.

Remove the ignition switch and inspect. If the contacts for position III(START) are worn and show signs of arcing the starter may not receive full power to activate the solenoid.
If the car is not starting, have a friend/neighbor turn the ignition to II(ON) depress the clutch cable, while you jumper 12V directly to the solenoid. If the starter spins/starts the engine then you know there is an issue with the power feed to the starter solenoid.

So I tried the new key it didn't work. So if I leave the car in neutral and key in the on position I clip a wire from the starter to 12v positive and it turns on. If I do a ohm test from that wire from the starter Blk wht where would it go into the car ignition switch?
